What drew us first to this place was the indescribable beauty of the ocean front on the South shore of Kauai. What makes it unforgettable is the extensive old koa wood panelling that fills the home, and surrounds us with the warmth of old Kauai. Upon entering, one first is impressed with the floor to ceiling koa wood library and the stone floor in the expansive entryway foyer.

There are lots of places to stay in Kauai. We enjoy staying in a place that is as spacious and inviting on the inside as the great expanse that is Kauai. With over-height doors reaching up towards soaring ceilings over 20 feet high, floor to ceiling glass with immediate, intimate, breath-taking, unobstructed ocean views going off into infinity, this place fills us with the same light, as that which is found out on the shores of Poipu Beach.
To the right, one enters the main living room area, and is immediately taken aback at the expansive ocean view which presents itself from every window soaring to the high ceilings. Set in the foreground of the beauty of the ocean is the koa wood panelling throughout, the wood floors, and the incredible golden ambience that is created by the interplay of sunlight reflected off ocean, and filtered through the golden koa wood surrounding every part of the home.

Along with the high ceilings, the 2,400 square feet of floor space makes the place very open and airy. The breeze coming directly off the ocean can come in one side of the ocean front windows, ventilate the open spaces, and exit, taking any unwanted heat, out the other side. It is a soothing, natural, bright, open environment, from which to take in all of the glory of the ocean.

The interior is so beautiful, open, and pleasant, that it is hard to leave for the outdoors. But the ocean beckons.

The ample living area overflows past the well appointed kitchen and counter to the pristine ocean which is directly connected to the entire 435 foot wrap-around lanei just ahead. To the right, see the views of Baby Beach, straight ahead, the infinite expanse of ocean. Looking up, the cathedral-like ceilings far off above. To the sharp right, find the guest bedroom and bathroom suite, with its own splendid views of the water and the pool.
Everything is beautiful and elegant with an island flare. What a great place for entertaining
Off to the left of the entry, and right of the bathroom suite, is the master bedroom. Immediately upon turning towards the bedroom, one is moved as the full ocean view appears before you. The ocean is so close, that from any point in the Master bedroom, it appears as if you are in a penthouse within a luxury ocean liner, looking off the deck. Even though it appears the water is just below, in reality, should you wish to hear the ocean, or feel the sea spray, you need only walk through the french doors which comprise your ocean view window, and onto the lanei, to enjoy the water below.

To the left, enter the master suite, with perhaps the largest bathroom suite, comprised by four separate rooms, that one has ever seen. It includes a two basin, extended counter, an ante-room, connecting the make up room to the bathroom, and also to the large open shower area, and further off, to the jetted tub. The bathroom is like a home-spa, for those that wish to linger and relax in their own private space.
